Farmland began changing to the urbanization of the urban areas from the late 1860’s to the 1920’s. Because of the mass increment of migration, both the â€Å"Old Immigration† and the â€Å"New Immigration† increased new open doors because of the Second Industrial Revolution. This incorporated the presentation new innovation and developments, and the formation of industrial facilities and the sequential construction system and large scale manufacturing, and another urbanized way of life. The city turned into another and commendable open door for the individuals who once in the past took a shot at a ranch. By 1925 the city, and not the ranch, had become the essential reality for most Americans as a result of the Second Industrial Revolution, the mass movement, and the open door for more prominent wages. The Second Industrial Revolution is considered to have started in the 1860’s. New advances and developments, for example, the Bessemer steel converter, the inside burning motor, the creation and refining of oil and gas, the message, the radio, power and the American arrangement of assembling were made in the mid to late nineteenth century. The Bessemer converter worked by blowing air through openings at the base of the convertor to make a response that oxidizes the silicon and overabundance carbon which changed over it to unadulterated steel or iron. This machine permitted a brought down cost on steel and iron just as speed underway. This was a significant supporter of the creation of railways. The extension of the railways incredibly expanded from 1860 to 1920. Railways significantly increased from 1860 to 1880 and afterward multiplied again by 1920. The railways brought down the expense of transportation which empowered the less expensive development of crude materials that would be utilized in industrial facilities. These new tracks additionally associated disconnected towns to bigger markets which permitted them access to new materials they couldn't have previously. Bigger urban areas had an extension of better transportation frameworks, such raised railroads and trams and street route frameworks for the bike furor of the 1890’s. These developments present in the 1880’s, for example, the American arrangement of assembling generously expanded the efficiency in the sewing and bike businesses. A significant advancement in the assembling techniques for the Second Industrial Revolution was acquaintance of power with manufacturing plants. This empowered the processing plants to use the new advancements of the sequential construction system and large scale manufacturing. New Factories were beginning to spring up in numerous urban communities in the Northeast segments of the United States. Since an ever increasing number of industrial facilities were being assembled, they required an ever increasing number of laborers to help run the production line and to keep it stable. These production lines made numerous new position open doors for those that were viewed as white collar class. Wages were a lot higher contrasted with cultivating employments and nearby modest community occupations. There were two kinds of laborers, talented specialists and untalented specialists. The gifted specialists were excellent at what they did and trained the incompetent laborers to perform basic undertaking and to rehash it again and again. This before long made the sequential construction system which helped the gifted specialist complete his activity quicker since all the incompetent laborers were helpingthe little undertaking move along so the talented specialist could complete the task. A significant number of the incompetent specialists were worn out on rehashing these movements and needed to increase a range of abilities to turn out to be progressively important and procure higher wages. In this manner a portion of the primary universities were made to help show these untalented men new ranges of abilities. Additionally, the laborers in the manufacturing plants made another market interest for things, for example, lodging, supermarkets, and retail chains. Fix The Bridge Between Immigrants And Americans Essay

Fix the Bridge between Immigrants and Americans What makes us Americans is our shared commitment to an ideal - that all of us are created equal, and all of us have the chance to make of our lives what we will. - President Obama’s address to the nation, 20 November 2014 That is one of President Obama’s famous quote when he talked about his plan to reform America’s immigration system. He suggested that Americans are great because they value the freedom and respect the dreams of the others. But, as he pointed out later in his speech, the United States’ immigration system failed to embrace Americans’ value. In fact, there are many people believe that it is broken. Some people think that it lets many people get into the country every year without properly keeping track of them and creates a high number of illegal immigrants. The others reason that the immigration system does not work because it prevents immigrants entering the United States by forcing them go through a long process and pay high fees. As a country of immigrants, it is impossible for Americans to ignore the issue. I strongly believe that that there must be a reform in America’s immigratio n system and future changes need to consider the well-being and safety of Americans while ensuring the United States always a home of immigrants and American Dreams. Integrated Logistics Information System on Cloud Computing

Question: Discuss about the Integrated Logistics Information System on Cloud Computing. Answer: Introduction AIS is applied to several IT accompanying accounting tasks as well as standards and as a business advisor of accounting company, I suggest that by investing in a cloud-based accounting system, a firm can easily save start-up as well as maintenance costs, hence, there is no need of over-stretched frameworks which are out of budgets. This study includes the major difference between traditional and cloud-based accounting information system and limitations of cloud-based AIS is also discussed in this study. Difference between Traditional and Cloud AIS Cloud-based Accounting System Traditional Accounting System The most dazzling difference between the traditional and cloud-based accounting system is the speed to complete all the operations of the firm. With the cloud-based AIS program, the information is entered for a single time and it is spared. No more waiting for days and weeks to recognize whether the firm is taking profit from it or not (An, Lee, 2015). Cloud-based program provides reports to management of a firm in a short-time period, which is not possible with traditional accounting system. It takes more time to make reports regarding important data of the firm. In cloud-based AIS, the accuracy of calculations increase drastically. In Cloud, accounting spreadsheets straight-forward equations might still be required, however, it is a less demanding and more precise process. The effectiveness experiences the rooftop when a cloud-based framework is utilized. On the other hand, in traditional accounting system, manual system is used in which several columns are manually added -up. If any errors occur in a traditional accounting system, a huge amount of time is spent to find out the errors and to correct them (Carnegie, Napier, 2011). Many firms are adopting cloud-based AIS system, as it is simpler to use, as well as it is easy to find experienced workers to run such framework and is not at all a big issue for the firm (Cai, 2014). In case of traditional AIS which includes pencil and paper is the cheapest system, but is more time consuming and it is nowadays not easy for the firms to find out workers who can run such traditional AIS. Accounting on cloud-based AIS provides the option of saving the entire original work on CDs, external hard disks, portable devices, flash drive, as well as online. Firms can make a backup of data every time as a safeguard. If something occurs, data regarding any work can easily be restored from these backups. When utilizing traditional or manual AIS, the danger of losing information is real. If any essential papers have been destroyed and damaged, then the entire work might have to be done again. The copies of that work might be made, merely that will be more time-consuming and expensive (Gray, 2011). Cloud-based AIS have the abilitytoeasilyaccess the data at any timeand from any place. In Cloud AIS, an enterprise only needs a system with a proper internet connection and suitable cloud-client interface. The dataor informationis not only limited to a single system or a single network. While on the other hand, in traditional AIS, the user accessthe information ordata only on a system where such data isstoredor recorded. If the userwantsto access anydata fromanother system, then there is a needto savesuch datain some external storage device. Limitations of adopting cloud-based Accounting Information System Privacy of Data: The major limitation of cloud-based accounting information system is that the firm is sharing its vital data or information with some third party. These third-party members can use the firms information for their personal business advantages, because the storage of entire data is completely controlled or managed by the third-party suppliers. The data might be stored or moved through several countries, therefore, government and unauthorized users can also audit firms delicate data whenever they want (Du, Cong, 2015). Limitations in many applications: The Cloud-based AIS might not assist all types of applications of the firm, because it only provides what it has. A few of the firms needs might not be accessible in the cloud accounting or cloud-based models (Li, Wang, Chen, 2011). Back-up of data: Many cloud-based accounting information system or software never gives firms the readiness to have the back-up of data on the computer system. When firm changes the system or software, it might misplace the data it already added in the past cloud AIS and the firm will continuously have to pay to third-parties to use new software or system. Vulnerability to assaults: In cloud-based accounting information system, every factor is potentially approachable from the web. Obviously, anything that is associated with the web is not properly safe and best teams also endure intense assaults and safety breaches (He, 2014). The Type and size of businesses that can take benefit from Cloud AIS The organizations of all shapes or sizes as well as sorts can utilize cloud-based AIS to accomplish critical cost savings. Indeed, small on-premises Information Technology set-ups need critical up-front expenses and purchasing of servers, computer systems, and software. The organizations which need tight control on accounting information and don't want its data to be accessed by others can use cloud-based AIS. Several small start-ups and IT set-ups with limited spending plans which have complete trust in new technologies are choosing these cloud-based accounting services. As a cloud-based accounting system can provide security and value to their data. AIS helps employees of health and hospitality organizations to accomplish their jobs fruitfully by decreasing the obstruction between the commercial enterprise units of diverse firms. AIS solutions provide them with a continuous view of the delicate data to address the problems proactively. Through recent surveys on cloud computing, it is found that almost every commercial enterprise irrespective of its size enhances its financial consistencies by using AIS as well as diminishes all kinds of sensitive information related threats to the organization. By automating the basic functions of governmental organizations, AIS software provides them basic assistance. Cloud-based Accounting Information System enhances the consumer-based services of governmental organizations by offering the billing facilities along with relationship tracking. Conclusion This study concludes that the cloud computing has become highly important for several organizations, whether it is an IT industry or any other commercial organization. The potential advantages of cloud accounting system are more which have several positive impact on organizations economy. It has also been concluded that apart from its various benefits, cloud computing has some major limitations which can lead to the loss of the organizations reputation and few economic losses can also occur. A P- The Heroic Sheep Herder

A P- The Heroic Sheep Herder Free Online Research Papers One of the main reasons that a short story can be so effective is familiarity. An author uses different ways to connect with their readers to draw interest. Some authors use themes that are common to everyday life no matter what time period a person lives in, their race, or financial status. Others use emotional connections to make the reader sympathize with the characters. In the short story written by John Updike in 1962 entitled, â€Å"AP,† he uses the familiar setting of a supermarket, and gives the reader an idea of what a teenage boy thinks about teenage girls. Sammy, the narrator of the story is young, impulsive and naive. Both he and the three girls in the story are being rebellious by doing things that aren’t considered to be the norm, otherwise not conforming to what others think is right. It is not uncommon for teen aged kids to go through periods of rebellion. At this time of their lives when their hormones are raging they are basically looking to find themselves and doing things that make them feel good. Updike uses what can be viewed as a typical teenage boy for the protagonist first person narrator of this story. Sammy is a nineteen year old boy who works as a cashier at a local AP in a Boston suburb. His story begins when three young girls walk into the store barefooted wearing bathing suits. He makes it easy to see that he has great interest in these girls by his in-depth descriptions of them; this is about the first girl: The one that caught my eye first was the one in the plaid green two-piece. She was a chunky kid, with a good tan and a sweet broad soft-looking can with those two crescents of white just under it, where the sun never seems to hit, at the top of the backs of her legs. (Updike 610) It appears that he has put a little more time and effort into this new customer; he may not be able to describe other customers with such detail. As Sammy gives us his view of the second girl he goes into greater detail with his assumptions of what other people may think about her as well: A tall one, with black hair that hadn’t quite frizzed right, and one of those sunburns right across under the eyes, and a chin that was too long- you know, the kind of girl other girls think is very â€Å"striking† and â€Å"attractive† but never quite makes it, as they very well know, which is why they like her so much. (Updike 610) Finally in walks the leader of there group, one Sammy has titled, â€Å"Queenie.† Right away he goes into great detail about her entrance. He describes the way that the other two girls followed her throughout the store, assuming that she had convince the other two into coming in dressed in their bathing suits, and that she had to show them how to do it, walking slow and holding themselves straight. (Updike 610) Sammy shows his level of interest in Queenie by describing every detail about her from the color, shape and style of her bathing suit, to the manner in which is sat on her body, â€Å"off her shoulders looped loose around the cool tops of her arms, and I guess as a result the suit had slipped a little on her, so all around the top of the cloth there was this shining rim.† (Updike 610) He continues on about her face, skin, neck, and hair stating she was more than pretty and that he didn’t mind seeing this much more of her. Another way Sammy shows his high level of interest in these three young girls is by how he describes the other shoppers in the AP. He very negatively describes the customer that is at his register while the girls first walk in. This fifty year old witch is what he calls, â€Å"a cash-register-watcher† and his error of ringing up an item twice by accident has definitely made her day. (Updike 610) He finishes up his description of her by stating, â€Å"By the time I got her feathers smoothed and her goodies into a bag- she gives me a little snort in passing, if she’d been born at the right time they would have burned her over in Salem.† (Updike 610) Once again stating how much of a witch he thought she was. Another instance where Sammy shows his dislike for the other customers is when the girl walk down the aisle in front of his register, doing what he calls walking against the grain of traffic while â€Å"the sheep pushing their carts down the aisle.† (Updike 611) He describes the reaction the girls got while walking down that aisle, causing numerous looks, including a few housewives who had to do a double take to make sure they had seen correctly. The young girls did more than catch the attention of the â€Å"sheep† as Sammy liked to call them. In order to back up Sammy’s interest in these girls he tells of responses of agreement from two of his fellow co-workers who apparently feel the same way he does. The other cashier working at the AP that day was named Stokesie and he said to Sammy as the girls walked past, â€Å"Oh Daddy†¦..I feel so faint.† (Updike 611) Also, the man at the meat counter named McMahon who after giving directions to the girls, â€Å"patted his mouth and looked after them sizing up their joints.† (Updike 611) However, the sheep weren’t the only ones who did not approve of their attire as much as the boys did. The manager of the AP Mr. Lengel walks through the front door and everyone’s luck had run out, it’s what Sammy says is the saddest part of the story. (Updike 612) Mr. Lengel walks over to the girls and tells them that they are not at the beach and that the AP requires its customers to be â€Å"decently dressed.† (Updike 612) Queenie stands up herself and says, â€Å"We are decent.† The girls try to give their side of the story saying that they were only coming in to buy one item, but this fell upon deaf ears when Lengel asks Sammy to just ring up their purchase so they can leave. (Updike 613) Sammy does as he has been told. Sammy however has something build up inside of him, be it courage or stupidity and cannot let this be the final moment between himself and these three young girls. Before the girls are out of earshot Sammy tells Mr. Lengel that he quits, and that â€Å"you didn’t have to embarrass the girls the way you did.† (Updike 613) Sammy attempts to be the hero for these young girls, even though by the time it was all played out they had left the building. At this point it didn’t matter to him though, it was his way of standing up for himself and what he thought was right. At the end Sammy had lost his job for three girls who he hadn’t even spoken to. But just like the three girls who walked into an AP with no shoes on and wearing only bathing suits he was doing something rebellious by standing up to his boss and quitting his job on his own terms. In Sammy’s mind he had done something heroic, something he probably didn’t think he was capable of. Even though he knew his parents would be upset with him and he realized that he â€Å"felt how hard the world was going to be to me hereafter† (Updike 614) but at least he still didn’t have to check the sheep through the line day after day. Windows Xp Vs Os X essays

Windows Xp Vs Os X essays The new operating systems released by Microsoft and Apple in the past year are relatively unexplored. The new operating system by Apple in called Mac Os X. The new release by Microsoft is called Windows XP or Windows Experience. These operating systems are a big evolution from the old systems. Unlike other upgrades, these systems look and act completely different from the previous versions. In this paper I will talk about what the older systems were like, Mac Os X and Windows XP. The older systems were not built for many of the things that we need today. When the original OSs (Operation Systems) were built in a time when the Internet was not very popular and when there were no high graphic games, Mp3 or Digital movies. Over the years the systems added on utilities to support these things. The problem was they were not built in to the operation system originally. This is one of the reasons the old systems were very unreliable. Another problem was that the look of the Os was not going to win a fashion show. This is because the computers back than were slow. Things have changed now. Mac Os X has been in production for 10 years. The new system is made for the Internet and digital media. This system has been nicknamed Aqua the Spanish word for water. People call it aqua because it looks like water. This is easy on they eyes making it so people will not be as stressed out when using it. This system is very reliable. In a more personal note I have not been able to crash my computer with Os X running. The new operation system is open source. Open source is where the code to program for the operating system is free. Apple decided to use open source to make it so people will make programs for Os X. Reviews of the operation system show that people like it, but wish there were more programs available. Many Software companies have announced titles for Os X. So the Future looks bright for this futuristic Operation ...

STATEGIC MARKETING PLANNING AND COMMUNICATION Essay

STATEGIC MARKETING PLANNING AND COMMUNICATION - Essay Example Environmental Analysis of Pfizer When looking at the challenges for Pfizer, it is important to look at the environment of the entire pharmaceutical industry. In the last few years, this industry has become as competitive as any other. Because of technological advances, the tighter controls that have been place on regulatory compliance and â€Å"volatile investor confidence† (Verbigena Consulting, n.d.) the pharmaceutical industry has become very competitive. There are many ways to understand how this has happened and its effect on specific companies in the industry. For this study this researcher has used the PEST (political, economic, social and technological) model. In this model, it is important to identify those issues that are a part of the environment that makes the pharmaceutical company meet the competition as well as meet the environment head on. In this way, they are able to analyse their competition to make sure that they are doing what is needed. Political analysis In looking at the pharmaceutical industry, it has become increasingly competitive because there has been an emphasis on healthcare all over the world. People are living longer and they have more access to alternative modalities of healthcare. Also, healthcare has become more expensive to the average consumer which as meant that there needs to be reform on all levels. Healthcare is not just an economic burden to an economy but it is also a social burden. This means that politics come into play when there needs to be reforms to promote social welfare (In the UK the National Healthcare Service debate over Medicare is one example). Economic Value The pharmaceutical industry is projected to increase in the future. Since 2003, there have been substantial increases because of â€Å"high value mergers and acquisitions† (Verbigena Consulting, p. 3.). Many analysts have projected that pharmaceutical stock would increase to 10.5% by 2010 which meant that sales would reach $500 billion. This is not unfathomable because our societies are ones that are dependant on drugs (both over the counter and prescription) for many ailments and to fight disease. Although a large majority of sales originate in the US, Japan and EU, 80% of sales are distributed over nine countries: â€Å"US, Japan, France, Germany, UK, Italy, Canada, Brazil and Spain† (Verbigena Consulting, p. 3). Sales are expected to increase as people age and healthcare is reformed. Social Value Everyone is concentrating on good health today. There are many articles across the Internet that tell people how to look better, how to lose weight, how to stop aging and more. Because of this, pharmaceutical companies have an area that is always growing. Global epidemics like AIDS or SARS have helped the pharmaceutical companies push for a cure and their search has created an opportunity in the media to follow their progress. This also means that the pharmaceutical companies have to keep good relations with the media, government and other organizations that can help them keep the world out that they are doing a good job. Technology Technology has improved over the years and science has been one of those improvements. The pharmaceutical companies have to keep up with the technological demands in all of the industries they participate within. Also, these companies have to spend more money on research and development so that their employees will become more innovative in producing their products. Legal The FDA and other legal

CRJS472IP3 Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words

CRJS472IP3 - Research Paper Example This implies that the investigating agency must have an original sample from the person to work with if they require accurate results. However, samples are also important in unintended recordings. The agency can get an individual original voice recording by securing a court order demanding the suspect to do so (FBI n.d). In high secretive missions, voice recorders are planted in strategic places in order to identify the speakers. For example, police may plant recorders in the body of an undercover agent to capture the conversation between drug dealers, arms dealers and terrorist. The device captures the voices that can be analyzed and used as evidence before a court of law (Becker 2009). Voice recognition works effectively when the police or the investigating agency has an authentic voice sample of a suspect. Analysis is then done on the sample with the original sample as a reference. Analysis is done using high-tech computer programs. The programs identify modification in the voices that are meant to disguise the conversation by use of personal voice tracts that cannot be compromised. The most used source of voices is telephone conversations. This method entails recording and listening to selected telephone conversations. The conversations are passed across a voice recognition system whereby speakers are likely to be identified. In this method, the speakers must speak for some time for analysis and authentication to be complete. The timing is usually pegged at thirty seconds; however, it is impossible to control the length of the conversation in cases where the investigator is not part of the conversation. Voice recognition has been used in investigations involving drug dealers in the USA. Drug cartels are highly secretive thus it is very hard to nab them with their cargo. As such, the police and FBI use telephone conversations and undercover agents to obtain voice samples of the criminals. The voices are then analyzed

Aberdeens Influence on Kurt Cobain Essay -- Music Essays

Aberdeen's Influence on Kurt Cobain The towns of Hoquiam and Aberdeen are located on the eastern edge of Grays Harbor in western Washington state. If you are a fan of the band Nirvana, you have probably heard of these names. If not, you are about to read how a town affected a person who in turn affected many people's lives. Kurt Cobain was the singer and guitarist for Nirvana. He was born in Hoquiam (population 9,000) and after six months of life moved to Aberdeen (pop. 16,500), an old lumber town at the eastern-most point of Grays Harbor. The town is about four miles wide and three miles long. On the northern and eastern sides of town are steep hills where the richer families live in Victorian-style houses. At the foot of the hills is the poorer part of Aberdeen where Kurt grew up. (Gilmore 44) Seattle is known to get a lot of rain. Aberdeen gets more: they get up to seven feet a year. The rain casts a "constant, dreary pall over the town" (Azerrad 11). Route 12 into Aberdeen is "bordered by an endless succession of trailer parks" with forests of trees behind them that have "vast stubbly scars where the loggers have been clear-cutting" (12). To author Sallie Tisdale, Hoquiam and Aberdeen are "sprawling and untidy" and "dull, mediocre, undecorative" towns. Almost all the views of the water are "marred by piles of logs and steaming mills." (213) Aberdeen and Hoquiam are two of the oldest logging, sawmilling, and paper-manufacturing towns in the Northwest. Paper-producing companies, like Weyerhaeuser, ITT Rayonier, and others, have their mills here. (Fodor's 139) Logging used to dominate Aberdeen. But business has been declining lately and "layoffs are turning Aberdeen into a ghost town." One of the biggest mills wh... ... Cobain is dead at the age of 27. He leaves behind a wife who loved him, a daughter who will never know him and millions of strangers whose lives have been enriched because he lived. (53) Works Cited Azerrad, Michael. From Belief to Agnosticism

I was always wondering why people experience miseries, travails and hardships while others are on cloud 9 experiencing great happiness and contentment. Then I questioned myself why it so? Why is it that not all people experience happiness that they deserve? Why is life unfair? It was not until one day, I heard my parents talking about Jesus. I then asked myself, who is Jesus? Is he that important to the lives of the people? Why were my mom, grandparents and dad talking about him? In their conversation, they said that Jesus is the Savior of all humanity. It was the only time I heard them talking about Jesus. That probably was the effect of their TV watching about religion and great evangelist. My parents, especially my mother, taught us that faith in God is very important. My mother is very religious, very active in other church activities and the one who really pushes us to go to church though my father is very lazy in attending Sunday services in the church. Just like my mother, my g randparents are also very religious. They never miss to go to church every Sunday. My parents and my grandparents actually meet in the church. My parent’s wants that we should earnestly go to church every Sunday and see to it that it will only be spent for Jesus alone. Eventually, we found a church where we always fellowship. It is also where I grew and mature spiritually. As I served Jesus through the years, I never experienced such great manifestation of His goodness. I always hear my friends and church mates talk about Him and the miracles and help that Jesus did for them and for their family. But why is it that I still do not experience it all? It was not until my dad passed away.I felt so empty inside of me; it was like something is just so missing. I questioned the existence of God that if He really existed why would all this sufferings happen to me? I was faithful to Him all along and all I deserve is this, the lost of my father? I was so miserable and so discouraged at that time. I was full of uncertainties and insecurities at that time. Then one day, I found my bible inside my cabinet and when I opened it I saw God’s words saying that whoever is lonely, weary and tired should just call upon His name and He will feel all of the emptiness one feels. He is also our great loving father that even we lose our earthly father; He will remain our father now and forever. I then realize my worth and regained my faith back to him. I put on my mind that whatever happens, God has a plan for it. That everything happens for a purpose, for a reason. I continued my relationship with God and as I mature I began to see things in a different perspective. In the ways that Jesus wants me to. Things that I should perceive that are right, noble and perfect. But I cannot deny that this generation becomes cruel.Others do not consider religion an important tool in ones life. As we all know Religion involves the relationship between mankind and what is regarded as sac red. Religion almost always includes the belief in the supernatural and a code of ethical behavior. Why do men suffer? What is the nature of the Universe and how it is governed? What is the nature of man and what is his destiny? Religion tries to answer the questions of ultimate existence and of life and death and human and destiny. Many religions hold the universe is governed by God.Through religion man may see meaning in the universe and find a personal role in it. Thousands of years ago, religion played a very vital role in the lives of the people. Even thought that time things were not that so complicated not like now, people still has a closer connection to God. People then put a greater emphasis on going to church, fellowshipping with their brother’s and sister’s in the Lord and in maintaining their relationship with their creator. As of now, in our present times I think that Religion is ten times important than it was before. As the modern world is evolving and i s now being introduced to different kinds of beliefs and theories that could likely shake our foundation of faith for God. The basis and the only foundation of our faith is Jesus Christ. We must hold on to him more especially these days that there are many deceivers out there that are being used by the enemy to destroy us and to keep us away from the loving arms of God. When we don’t have a strong foundation of our relationship to God, we can easily yield to the temptations and offerings that Satan will present to us, like the technology of today. If we don’t know how to control the usage of technology of today, we can be manipulated and controlled by it. That is just one of the tactics of Satan to let us fall into the pit he is preparing for us, for us to be kept away from God’s destiny for us. Today, there are many existing religions. There are the Protestants, Orthodox and the Roman Catholics. But whatever our religion is, let us always remember that salvation is an individual concern. One cannot be saved because of his religion but what counts is his relationship with Jesus. As I look around and observe the magnificent things, I can really say to myself that how awesome is he who created the heavens and the earth. I can truly say to myself that there is someone up there, who is greater than us and omnipotent. There are times that I try to figure out things but the truth is I cannot fathom it; thus, that is how religion came in. Through religion, I have learned that there is God; the God who created the universe and I am his masterpieces. But his existence has been questioned for many years now whether he does exist or not. Doubts and disbeliefs reign in others’ minds because of lack of knowledge in knowing God.Religion plays a vital role in helping us to know our Creator; thus, many religions are coming out because they want to help the mankind to know about God. Like the family and the economy, religion is a universal and pervasi ve phenomenon, a part of the cultural system, because it is assumed to meet some basic need of human being. Religion is an integrated part of human experience and shows remarkable continuity through time. Personally, religion has a significant role in my life. It helps me know who my creator is. Through religion I can be able to know the words and the ways of God.Yes, I do have religious convictions. My principles and philosophies in life are guided with the teachings of my religion. I have faith in my religion because it helps me to do what is right in the sight of God; thus, it helps me live life wisely by loving and putting God first and love my neighbors as myself. I believe that God is my Savior, He is my redeemer. He redeemed from the darkness. I was once was lost but now I am found in His arms already. I believe He created from His image and likeness. He restored my dying soul when I was still lost. I believe that He rose from the dead and ascended in heaven. He is my comforte r, my best friend and my loving father that I could never have here on earth. My personal perceptions with regards to religion are very much different from my mother and my grandparents. They believe that the Bible is for every individual and its principles can be applied to all ages and everything should works the same way as the word of God never changes and still the same yesterday, today and forever. But in my own opinion, I believe that the Bible was written to the older audiences so some of the concepts and rules do not apply to the world we are in today. An example of this is that, the Bible says that parents should train up their children to where they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from it. As I have observed, most of the parents right now do not train their children to the right thing (excluding my parents). They fail to supervise their children. They just let their children talk back to them and allow them to do their own thing even though it is not right. Just like aborting a baby without a valid reason. They consent and condone their child’s immoral act by aborting the babies. I can say that because I have observed it.Another thing, the Bible also agrees that parents should not spare the rod in disciplining their children. In addition to this, the Bible commanded the children to obey their parents for this is right and honor them so that we may live long. Yet, children nowadays are very disrespectful to their parents’ authorities. There are still a number of religious issues being tackled by now. The issues that keeps affecting the different aspects of human life. Different religions keep on competing for them to invite individuals to come and join with them. Sometimes because of these, the essence of having a religion is lost. The real perspective of establishing a deeper relationship with God is lost because of the overwhelming issues that could bother the spiritual and emotional aspect of a person. The real ro le of having a religion is to develop a deeper and serious relationship with our Almighty Creator. God does not base our salvation on what religious denomination we join to. He looks at the position of our hearts and of we really love Him and long to be with Him sincerely. He does not base his judgment on the things we do and achieve. It is our hearts that He looks up to.

Forgives is also an approach which can be used to effectively reduce bullying in school (Ahmed Braithwaite, 2006). It is known to be the most powerful weapon that is used by the affected parties to bring to an end the cycle behavior of being destructive. Forgiveness is only possible if the victim decides not to hold any grudge against the offender. Don’t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Approaches of Curbing Bullying" essay for you Create order He decides to let go every hatred and trusts that the wrong door will accept the chance and assume a responsible life. The victim expects that with forgiveness and acceptance bullying should come to an end. The effectiveness of this approach is that the wrongdoer feels acceptance back to the community. He is also aware that the victim will take him as a changed- for â€Å"the- better person from there on. This is achieved after the offender accepts his mistakes and changes to be able to manage the shame. On the other hand, wrongdoer who is unable to manage the shame blames others for the mistakes done. He suffers shame replacement which increases bullying (Rigby, 2004). The other method that is used to minimize bullying is through the community-based approaches (Dusenbury et al, 1997). The community incorporates all the stakeholders including the teachers, coaches, parents, the law and the students at large. The community has to address the issue of bullying otherwise silence paves way for increased bullying among students. Adult role models who are against bullying are examples that students emulate. Organizing events like games and sports in playgrounds and have the coach supervise teaches students to care and love their neighbor. Group work is also another way that teachers use as a way of minimizing bullying in class. The community is also free to use the law and warn the students against any act of bullying. The challenge faced here is that very little effort has been channeled to curb this issue of bullying (Hay Meldrum, 2010). The community has not taken the problem of bullying with the weight that it deserves. Reference Ahmed, E., Braithwaite, V. (2006).
